Maid Cafes (メイド喫茶 / メイドカフェ Meido kissa / Meido kafe) are a subcategory of cosplay restaurants found predominantly in Japan. Staff members dress in maid and butler costumes to serve and entertain guests. The uniform varies from cafe to cafe, but most are based on the costume of French maids, usually composed of a dress, petticoat, apron, headdress, and stockings. Other types of maid cafes include:
Victorian style, based on fashion from the Victorian era
“Modern-traditional,” where staff wears a mixture of traditional kimono and maid outfits
Neko Cafe: Neko (ネコ, 猫) means cat in Japanese, and servers wear cat tails and cat ears

What should I expect from a Mochi Cafe event?
Due to site-specific rules about food service, Mochi Cafe usually hosts game cafe events. At these events, guests will be seated at the beginning of each session, and your table maids and/or butlers will introduce themselves. We provide board games and other entertainment to play with your tablemates and Mochi staff, plus exciting dance performances throughout the event! After the session, feel free to ask your Mochi maid or butler for a photograph! Most of us would be happy to oblige when asked.
